Accident Benefit Association
Remember, Accidents Never Retire!

The American Postal Worker Accident Benefit Association provides benefits to postal workers — and retirees — who suffer temporary disability, dismemberment, or death as a result of a covered accident. Incorporated in 1898, the ABA has offered these benefits since 1891, when it was founded by Railway Mail Association. The ABA is 100 percent member-owned, and ABA officers work exclusively for the benefit of the members.

Ninety thousand members can’t be wrong!

If you were an ABA member before you retired, you can continue your membership at the rate you paid as an active-duty employee. Retirees who were not ABA members when they were active-duty employees are eligible to join as well, and will enjoy the same rates. You will be billed by the ABA for the premiums, which can be paid annually or semi-annually. Members who pay annually get one month’s membership free.Your spouse can sign up at the same rate you pay!
