Log-in Instructions

For Current USPS Employees

Your Log-in is your Employee ID number.

Your Temporary Password is your last name followed by the last four digits of your Social Security number. Enter your last name exactly as it appears on your pay stub. If your last name has a suffix (such as Jr. or III), do not include it as part of your password.

Example: "John Q. Smith Jr." - Employee ID = 01234567, SSN=1234-45-9999

User Name: 01234567
Password: Smith9999

For Retirees and Private-Sector Members

Your APWU membership number will serve as your Log-in. The number was mailed to you via first-class mail in June 2007 and will be printed on your membership card, which will be sent to you annually. If you have not received your letter with your unique member number to log in to the site, please send an e-mail to imisid@apwu.org. Please include your name and home address. A new letter will be mailed to you.

For Associate Members

Your APWU Associate Membership number will serve as your Log-in. The number was mailed to you via first-class mail in January 2008. If you have not received the letter with your unique member number to log-in to the site (or if you have misplaced it), please send an e-mail to imisid@apwu.org. Please include your name and home address. A new letter will be mailed to you.

Your Temporary Password is your last name followed by the last four digits of your Social Security number. If your last name has a suffix (such as Jr. or III), do not include it as part of your password. (See example above, under For Current USPS Employees.)

Choosing Your Permanent Password

After you log in, you must change your password. This will make your password easy to remember and help protect the security of your personal information.

Subsequent Log-ins

Enter your log-in (your employee I.D. number or unique APWU membership number) and the password you selected.

Problems Logging In?

You will not be able to log-in to the Members Only area if the security settings on your computer are set to block "cookies".

A cookie is a small file that our server places on your computer to help the server recognize you as a member. If you have a problem logging-in, please check and adjust the privacy settings for Internet browser.

If you are unable to log in as instructed, send an e-mail to MyUnionInfoHelp@apwu.org. Provide the following information to help us determine the source of the problem:
  • Your full name (exactly as it appears on your pay stub).
  • Your USPS employee ID number, or (for retirees and private sector APWU members) your membership number.
  • The last four digits of your Social Security Number or Employee Identification Number.
  • Your current password, if known.
We will respond to you soon.

New members note: It often takes several weeks after you begin paying dues for our membership verification database to be updated. We appreciate your membership and regret the delay.
