Motorcycle Rally
May 25, 2008
This great community event is the highlight of an extraordinary weekend in our nation’s capital. APWU will join with thousands of supporters from across the country to demonstrate on behalf of our troops, our veterans, and our POW-MIAs. In order for APWU to be visibly present, all members are encouraged to participate either as spectators or on their own motorcycles. APWU rally t-shirts are available for $20 in adult sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, and 4XL. (Use registration form below to purchase. Order deadline is April 22.)
No registration fee is required but rally participants are requested to submit our registration form [PDF] indicating “rally only” so we’ll know to expect you.
To ensure that we ride together, riders should meet at the L’Enfant Plaza Hotel, where the APWU will stage at 6 a.m., for a 6:30 a.m. departure to the Pentagon. The run will begin at noon, starting from the Pentagon, going over the Memorial Bridge and through DC to the Vietnam Memorial. Spectators will be departing from the hotel at 10:30 a.m. to gather on Memorial Bridge by 11:30 a.m. APWU will then proceed to the Rolling Thunder Program stage in front of Lincoln Memorial at 1:30 p.m. Rally programs and events conclude at approximately 5 p.m.
