Rank and File Bargaining Advisory Committee Update

APWU President William Burrus has announced that Hugh J. Fung has been appointed to the Rank and File Bargaining Advisory Committee. The appointment of Fung, the Central Region Representative to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Task Force, completes the committee.

In accordance with Article 13.9 of the APWU Constitution, each member of the National Executive Board names one person to the committee. A 13th member, appointed by the president, is a representative from the APWU D/HH Task Force.

Contract negotiations are set to begin on Aug. 29. The current Collective Bargaining Agreement expires on Nov. 20, 2005.
