Social Security to Host Webinar for Wounded Warriors

The Social Security Administration will host a Webinar, “Social Security for Wounded Warriors,” to address benefit programs and the expedited processing of disability claims available to wounded veterans.  The expedited process is for military service members who become disabled while on active military service on or after Oct. 1, 2001, regardless of where the disability occurs. Discussion also will focus on eligibility, and how and when to apply. U.S. Service members, their families and friends, and those that advocate on their behalf are invited to participate.                

The webinar will be hosted via www.socialsecurity.gov on Nov. 4, 2009, at 2 p.m. EST.
