Breen Chosen to Replace McLennan as Clerk NBA

Tim Breen, a member of the Greater Cincinnati Ohio Area Local, has been appointed to serve as Clerk Division National Business Agent “C” for the Cincinnati Region, filling the position vacated by the death of Shirley McLennan. He will serve the balance of McLennan’s term, which ends in November 2010.

Breen was recommended for the NBA post by Clerk Division resident officers and was approved by the Clerk Craft Council, in accordance with Article 21.b of the APWU Constitution and Bylaws. The appointment became effective on Jan. 16.

McLennan, 66, passed away on Dec. 24 after a long battle with cancer. She was a member of the Louisville (KY) Local for nearly 30 years, and was first elected as a Clerk NBA for the Cincinnati Region in 2001. She was re-elected in 2004 and 2007.
