10/30/2014 - The APWU and USPS have agreed to a set of Questions and Answers regarding the establishment of 9,000 new Clerk Craft jobs that will be created as a result of a Sept. 5 arbitration award on the POStPlan and a Sept. 22 union-management agreement on implement of the ruling.
"Postmaster General Donahoe is implementing one of the greatest threats to the public Postal Service to date,” APWU President Mark Dimondstein says in a new video. Standing in front of the National Postal Museum, Dimondstein adds, “This is where Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe would permanently put the public Postal Service.”

10/27/2014 - The APWU and Postal Service have reached an agreement that prohibits management from subcontracting cleaning services based on an employee’s voluntarily transfer from an office where USPS custodians are employed. The Oct. 27 agreement settles a Step 4 dispute.

10/22/2014 - The Social Security Administration has announced a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) of 1.7 percent for the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS). The increase will be reflected in January 2015 annuity payments.
10/22/2014 - The APWU has placed a full-page ad in The Harvard Crimson calling on Harvard University President Drew Faust “to do the right thing or resign.” The right course of action, the ad says, is for Dr. Faust, who sits on the Staples Board of Directors, to use her influence to end the no-bid deal between the office-supply chain and the United States Postal Service.
