With help from APWU members, family, and friends, the Aleethia Foundation was selected as a winner of Toyota’s “100 Cars for Good” contest.
The Aleethia Foundation was selected as the “Day 38” winner of the contest, which awards 100 cars over 100 days to winning organizations. Toyota selected the winners based on who received the most votes on Facebook.
“I want to thank the members who spread the word and voted for this very worthy cause,” said APWU Human Relations Director Sue Carney.
The Aleethia Foundation provides financial aid and sponsors events for newly wounded, injured, or ill service members in the Washington, DC area. The organization will receive their prize, a Toyota Sienna mobility van, within the next 150 days, and will use the vehicle to transport wounded troops.
