Yesterday, Oct. 8, thousands of postal workers and supporters participated in over a hundred rallies across the country to proclaim that the U.S. Mail Is Not For Sale! This National Day of Action was sponsored jointly by the four postal unions.

06/08/2018 - APWU met with the White House Task Force on the Postal Service on Tuesday, June 6 and presented a series of recommendations and supporting materials on how the USPS could improve services, become more financially stable, and continue to remain a treasured public institution offering universal service to all citizens, regardless of where they live or work.
12/22/2017 - On Wednesday Dec. 20, Congress voted to pass a tax bill designed to reward the super wealthy and major corporations with more money. Despite being an unpopular bill opposed by hard-working families across the country, it passed without any bipartisan support and awaits the president’s signature to be signed into law.
08/26/2015 - The APWU joined more than 50 member organizations of A Grand Alliance to Save Our Public Postal Service last month to urge members of the U.S. House of Representatives to co-sponsor two bipartisan resolutions to restore mail service standards and protect six-day mail delivery.
09/09/2014 - Since 2010, it’s gotten harder for minorities, young people, senior citizens and working people to vote, but easier for the super-rich to buy elections. Corporate money is drowning out the voice of the people.
The Senate vote on Sept. 8 to allow consideration of the “Democracy for All” Constitutional Amendment presents a good opportunity to address the issue, as do other measures.
