09/12/2017 - Following an overwhelming 429-129 ratification vote on Aug. 23, the new Information Technology and Accounting Services Centers (IT/AS) Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the United States Postal Service was signed by APWU President Mark Dimondstein and USPS Vice President of Labor Relations Douglas Tulino.
09/12/2017 - Recently, APWU members employed by Salmon Companies voted to ratify a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the company. Salmon Companies is the largest ground transportation supplier to the United States Postal Service (USPS). Truck drivers for the private-sector company are part of the Support Services Division. The contract covers locals from Dallas, TX; Shreveport, LA; Little Rock, AR and Memphis, TN. The new CBA was ratified by over 75% of voting members.
08/18/2017 - Early registration for the All Craft Conference and the Retirees Conference has been extended until September 8, 2017. The cost is $85 for the All Craft Conference and $40 for the Retirees Conference. After September 8, 2017, the cost for the All Craft Conference is $135 and $45 for the Retirees Conference.
07/28/2017 - The American Postal Workers Union and United States Postal Service reached a tentative agreement for bargaining unit employees in the Information Technology and Accounting Services Centers (IT/AS). This agreement is subject to ratification by the membership (under the Support Services Division).

09/30/2016 - Support Services Craft Director Stephen R. Brooks has appointed Judy McCann of the Twin Cities PDC Local to serve as the craft’s new National Business Agent, effective Nov. 12. Delegates to the 2016 APWU National Convention voted to add an NBA to the Support Services Division, which had a single national officer, the director.

All APWU local and state unions that receive dues rebates (DCO checks) from the national union must file an annual financial report with the Department of Labor (DOL). The report is required by the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA).
Labor unions are required to report all revenue and expenditures for the year within 90 days after the end of the local’s fiscal or accounting year. The report is considered a public record and will be posted on the DOL website, www.dol.gov.
From May 23-27, local and state presidents, executive vice presidents and secretary-treasurers attended sessions, including, Duties of Election Committees; Filing and Defending a Charge With the National Labor Relations Board; Getting out the Union’s Message; Monitoring Dues Check Off (DCO); and Understanding Diversity.
