The APWU and USPS have agreed to extend negotiations on a collective bargaining agreement for postal nurses until Aug. 31. The contract was set to expire at midnight on Aug. 9.

“We have been negotiating throughout the summer to reach agreement on new language that covers wages, hours, and working conditions for these APWU members,” said Bill Manley, Support Services Division director.

“All terms of the current contract remain in effect. There will be no involuntary excessing of our nurses while we continue to try and reach agreement,” he said.
