The Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) is partnering with the League of Women Voters (LWV) in a push to increase the number of registered voters before the 2014 Election. At a time when millions of eligible voters are unregistered, or have not updated their voter registration record if they have moved, it’s up to us to get active in our communities and make sure as many voters as possible have the opportunity to participate.

Join a National Town Hall Teleforum on Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. EDT. Click here to register for the call.

The program will include a presentation from guest speaker Maggie Duncan, senior elections manager of the League of Women Voters and will include valuable information and resources on:

  • How to register to vote in your state
  • How to register other voters and encourage their participation
  • How to request an absentee ballot
  • Deadlines for registration
  • Early voting locations and dates
  • State eligibility laws
  • State identification requirements

The telephone town hall is designed to mobilize participants for National Voter Registration Day, Sept. 23, and give them the tools they need to help get out the vote throughout this election season.
