Powell Addresses Black Women's Round Table

APWU Secretary-Treasurer Liz Powell discussed the important role postal banking could play in ending predatory lending in poor and minority communities, where many residents don’t have bank accounts. Speaking at the Black Women’s Roundtable on Sept. 24, Powell asked participants to make sure it happens. The event, which focused on the status of women in the areas of health, education, the economy, labor, violence, criminal justice and politics, was part of the Congressional Black Caucus Conference.
