Union Officers Elected

In balloting that ended Oct. 5, William Burrus was re-elected to his third term as president, receiving more than 77 percent of the votes cast and capturing a majority in every state.

Other successful candidates were: Steve Raymer, for his third term as director of the Maintenance Division; Omar M. Gonzalez, elected to his third term as Western Regional Coordinator; William Kaczor, for his eighth term as director of the APWU Health Plan Department; and Judy Beard, the first elected director of the APWU Retirees Department.

In addition, 23 National Business Agent positions were contested. The names of the winning NBA candidates are listed below. (A list of uncontested races follows.)

The American Arbitration Association tabulated the ballots on Oct. 5 and 6, and the official results were certified by the APWU Election Committee on Oct. 10.

The installation of officers will be held Nov. 8, at the All-Craft Conference in Las Vegas.
