11/23/2017 - This year, the December period begins December 2, 2017 (Pay Period 25-17- Week 2) and ends December 29, 2017 (Pay Period 01-18 - Week 1).
11/02/2017 - The third general wage increase under the 2015 Collective Bargaining Agreement will be effective Nov. 25, 2017. This wage increase will be reflected in the paycheck workers will receive on Dec.15, 2017.Career employees will receive a pay raise of 1.3 percent.
08/11/2017 - In accordance with the 2015-2018 Collective Bargaining Agreement, career employees represented by the APWU will receive a 13 cents per hour cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) effective September 2. The increase is the result of an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI-W). The increase will appear in paychecks dated September 22, 2017 (Pay Period 19-2017), and will total $270.00 per year.
07/20/2017 - Following strong resistance from the APWU - and the National Postal Mail Handlers Union (NPMHU) - USPS management agreed to a five-month delay in implementing forced reassignments and excessing of employees out of their installations.
Arbitrator Goldberg found USPS violated ‘POStPlan’ MOU
06/07/2017 - The APWU scores another victory today, defending postal employees in the union’s bargaining unit. Arbitrator Goldberg issued an award in a national-level case over what remedy was due for the Postal Service’s failure to staff ‘POStPlan’ offices following an original award on September 5, 2014 and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) negotiated afterward...
“This is an important award for the protection and expansion of Clerk Craft work,” said President Dimondstein. “This keeps management’s feet to the fire, holding them to the agreements they make with the APWU.”
12/27/2016 - The APWU signed an updated agreement December 22, 2016, for Members-at-Large who work in small post offices that are not represented by a local union...“The memorandum is important,” said President Mark Dimondstein. “It continues to provide the protection of a local contract to thousands of union members in small offices who would not otherwise be covered by a local agreement. It provides additional benefits particularly for the PTFs and PSEs who staff these small offices.” The agreement covers approximately 15,000 workers.
11/30/2016 - On an annual basis, Postal Support Employees who are assigned as PSE Sales/Service and Distribution Associates, D/A 81-4, will be eligible to purchase three (3) Type 2 shirts worn by employees assigned for retail operations...This ONLY applies to PSEs who have met the criteria listed.

06/30/2016 - Postal Support Employees (PSEs) represented by the APWU have until June 30, 2016, to enroll in health insurance through the USPS Health Benefits (USPSHB) Plan. Coverage will be effective on July 9, 2016.
